Happy birthday Mommy. I miss you more than anyone could ever know. The thing I’ve come to realize is that it only took God to bring me through. Losing you and for that reason only I am able to actually smile and think of all the wonderful memories we had. I’m honored that God blessed me with a mother like you. Strong, God fearing, and full of love. Mommy I strive to be the woman you raised me to be. You molded me so well as a child I finally understand the scripture, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. The day that I was reborn everything you have ever thought me good flooded back in my memory. I can and will never forget. Only now I can hold on until I see Jesus. Thank you Father for blessing our family with your wonderful creation Sylvia L. Jenkins, she was and still is our precious treasure. See you when I get there mommy. I have a lot of work to do until we meet again, thank you for teaching me the right way. I love you down to the last number. ❤

On Mother’s Day, I acknowledge how you honorably earned the recognition of Mom and Mother Jenkins to many. You left us one year ago to receive your just reward. While, I miss you more than words can express, I celebrate your victory. I’m so glad you will never have to experience discomfort of any kind. You’re safe in the arms of Jesus, a milestone you worked hard to reach. I often think about your life’s journey and how your strong and resilient faith was inspiring. You kept the faith and displayed the best example of overcoming which showed me that God’s grace is sufficient in any situation. I thank God for you, dad and all the saints that have departed this life. What a great cloud of witnesses. I can almost see and hear them cheering us on. May God’s kingdom come and his will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Love you always! I’ll see you when I get there! From your oldest daughter, Sherrell

Just want to say thank you mother Jenkins for opening your bible, opening your home, and opening your ❤ heart. Your heart was big enough to love your children and your family. Yet you had room for me. Not just me but a legion of soldiers in the army of the LORD that you groomed, and loved for the service of the LORD.
THANK YOU❤

My Queen Mother achieved her life mission. She was born to make a difference. She was simply the best. She was a loving and devoted wife, nurturing mother to her children and many others. She was a soul winner for the Lord, and while spiritual, she was also humorous, relatable and touched many people through her testimonies and compassion. She was a disciplinarian with a keen sense of discernment. She was short in stature, but stood tall as a mother bear to fight against any threat of danger. She was a prayer warrior, who never forgot the significance of calling Jesus name. I will never forget the precious memories and the profound impact she had on my life. In challenging times, she was a strong lady and I never saw the sparkle leave her eyes. The life she lived speaks for her. She never let anyone rob her of the joy God gave her through the Holy Ghost. It rose up, when she sung songs of praises, prayed or spoke of His goodness. Her devotion was incredible and continues to give strength to many. Proverbs 31:27-30 describes her well. She looked well to the ways of her household and never ate the bread of idleness, her children arise up and call her blessed, and her husband also praised her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favor is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised. This is our mother. She left a rich spiritual legacy and precious life memories that's more valuable than worldly treasures. I'm going to miss our dear mother, but I know she is with Dad and that great cloud of witnesses. I won't say goodbye, as I will see her later. May she rest from her labor, as her work here is complete and I know she shall wear a Crown.

Mrs Sylvia Jenkins has been a positive figure in my life since my early childhood growing up in S.E Washington, D.C. Her daughter Sherrell was one of my closest friends, even up to today. Mrs Jenkins was a Beautiful lady. A true saint of God. She was loving, kind, firm, and encouraging. I have loved her as a mother. She will be truly missed. May the Angels welcome her to the Heavenly Jubilee.
