Terrence Black Obituary
TERRENCE WADE BLACK (Age 65)
Of Fairfax Station, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 16, 2011. Beloved husband of Suellen Black. Very proud father of Thomas Wade Black of Ashburn, Virginia. Loving brother of Gerald and his wife, Kyle Black. Uncle of Gregory Black and Allison Black-Muni and Daniel Muni all of Winter Springs, Florida. Also his adored Airedale, Marley.He served in the USN, as an aviator. After he retired from the Navy, he worked with EDS as a Government contractor. He enjoyed volunteering at the Smithsonian, hiking and traveling in his retirement.The family will receive friends at their home on Wednesday, December 21 starting at noon. Please contact [email protected] for additional information.A Funeral Service with Navy Honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders, www.doctorswithoutborders.org.

Suellen, So sad to hear this news. We were talking about you guys at the HC-2 Reuinion and wanted to get in touch after losing contact for too many years. Suellen...still can't believe this sad news. You and Terry were definitely soul mates and the coolest people. Terry will be missed by all his navy buddies. He was a great navy officer and aviator, and an incredible human being. Rest in peace, my friend.

I was sadden to hear about his passing. He was so full of life. I remember him talking about his trip to Russia in the winter. I thought he was crazy going in the cold but he a great time. I still think of the trip when I see Dr. Zihivago. Terry always enjoyed the outdoors. I heard about his hiking experiences. He will be missed.
