Terrence Pierce "Terry"

Terrence "Terry" Pierce, age 64, of Gainesville, FL, passed away on March 25, 2023 at home, surrounded by his family after a two and a half year battle with glioblastoma brain cancer. Terry was born to the late Stewart and Elizabeth Pierce in Frankfurt, Germany before settling in Kensington, MD. After 26 years with the Montgomery County Police Department, Terry served as the assistant chief of the Gainesville Police Department in Florida for nearly seven years. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park and Johns Hopkins University, and loved playing golf and tennis, cooking, and spending time at the beach. Terry is survived by his loving wife Julie, son Jordan, and daughter Victoria. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Gray for Glioblastoma or the National Brain Tumor Society in his honor. A celebration of life in Maryland will be scheduled at a later date.
