Terry R. Light

LIGHT TERRY R. LIGHT Terry R. Light of Oak Hill, Virginia, passed away on November 22, 2008. Terry was born in New York City on July 16, 1950, the son of Harold and Jean Light. Raised in Northern Virginia, he was a 1968 graduate of W.T. Woodson High School and attended James Madison College (now JMU). Terry lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and time spent with friends; most of all, he cherished his wife, Jane, and daughters Danielle and Stephanie. He was a proud and enthusiastic supporter of his girls' athletics and accomplishments. Terry often said he would most like to be remembered as a wonderful father to his girls. Terry is predeceased by his parents, and his brother Tom. He is survived by his wife, Jane Light; daughters, Danielle and Stephanie Light; two sisters, Nancy McGarry of Ashburn, Virginia and Joanne Light of Newark, Delaware, and three nephews, Bryan Light, and Patrick and Christopher McGarry. A Memorial Service to celebrate Terry's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Floris United Methodist Church, 13600 Frying Pan Rd., Herndon, VA 20171. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Floris United Methodist Church.
