To the family of Dr. T.R. George, Jr.
Our friendship extends back to September 1952, when as freshmen, still wet behind the ears, we and 908 other freshmen welcomed our bright and new adventure at Howard University. What a great guy he was; friendly, bright, athletic, and always willing to help a fellow classmate. We played on the A Phi A intramural basketball team together, and again he excelled. I'll always remember the great times we shared at HU Homecoming, long after we retired. Although, we were not in close contact during the past few years, he will still be sorely missed.

Hello Teddy and Family. Teddy & Blair, I only knew your father for a short time even though I have known Teddy for quite some time. I found out quickly that he was brilliant, witty and stubborn. Like a lot of our dads! Just cherish all that u shared with him...you will miss him but remember "love saves the day!" Peace and many blessings! Debi Chandler

I have countless and wonderful memories of our days on Howard's campus. We first met when I was a freshman and he a junior. I, affectionately, called him "Bear" and he referred to me as "Joanie Baby". We remained friends and kept in touch through the years. I shall miss him and cherish those memories, forever. He was so special.

The entire family has my sincere sympathy and prayers.

Dr. George was the care provider for my sister and me from our teens; we are now considered young senior citizens and still hold your dad close in our hearts. Those who crossed his path or walked by his side, I am sure, new him as a healer not just of the body but the mind and spirit. He made us feel like family. We join you in being honored to have known him. Your mom was my health teacher in junior high as well; she influenced me to my current profession as a nurse. Gods blessing to all the family.

Our families have been connected since before we were born. Your Dad's passing brings back childhood memories of a long time ago, when our parents were younger than we are now. Times like this never crossed our minds--they seemed so strong and vital. All these years later, that strength is part of who we've become, just what we need in times like this. My mother and I hold you in our hearts and prayers.

Your father raised two very special sons. I always appreciated your father's welcoming me along for Redskins outings and Thanksgiving.
Much love,
