Of Alexandria, VA on February 23, 2006. Beloved husband of Ann Dittrich; loving father of Thomas A. Dittrich Jr. of Kansas and Gail D. Canaday of Maryland. Also survived by four grandchildren. Friends may call at DEMAINE SPRINGFIELD-ANNANDALE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5308 Backlick Rd., Springfield, VA on Saturday, February 25 from 1 to 2 p.m., where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

To attend you must arrive at the guarded gate of Arlington Cemetery in time to reach the waiting room designated by the guard at nine thirty A. M..From the waiting room we will be escorted to the service..Plan to drive your own vehicle.

Thanks to all who came to Dad's service..A special thanks to Freddy Niethamer, who did everything for dad as his health declined..a true friend, brother and clone..Thanks Freddy.I have some pictures I will put here soon..We love you Tom Dittrich..I heard him call me in a dream last night..It is amazing how much is said in just the sound of one word.
