THOMAS ROLAND JONES
Thomas Roland Jones, 81, of Ormond Beach, Florida (formerly of Vienna, VA), died peacefully at home Friday, November 17, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Born November 10, 1942, in Elizabeth, PA, he was the son of the late James and Viola Balogh Jones. Tom was the devoted husband of 32 years to Elvita Carrasco Jones. He was the proud father of Kellie (Richard) Owens, Eric (Karen) Jones and Jeffrey Brown; and the proudest grandfather of Evan (Candy) Owens, Sidney Owens, Caroline Owens, and Elijah Brown. He was thrilled to welcome to the family five great grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory are three siblings, Jim Jones, Rich (Linda) Jones and Penny (Jeff) Jones; his dear niece Aja (Jonathan) Jones; and many other beloved nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law, extended family and friends.
Tom Jones built a successful business in Virginia based on values he learned in small-town Pennsylvania. He got his start in the HVAC industry in 1962 and co-founded Jones-Rogers in 1970. Tom ultimately bought his business partner's share of stock and led the company for 42 years, earning the highest industry marks with numerous business awards.
Upon retirement, he and his wife filled their passports with world adventures before and after they settled in Florida filling their days with good friends, golf and tending their citrus orchard.
Friends and relatives will be received at MONEY & KING FUNERAL HOME, 171 Maple Ave. W, Vienna, VA, on Sunday, November 26, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 27 at the Vale United Methodist Church, 11528 Vale Rd., Oakton, VA.
