THOMAS G. SCHAEFER
On Monday, April 4, 2016, Thomas G. Schaefer, 48, of Adamstown, MD, passed away peacefully. He was a life-long Maryland resident, attended Dematha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, MD, and graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park. Tom worked in project management for various corporate and non-profit agencies in the technology and healthcare sectors. Tom was born on May 2, 1967, in Alexandria, VA. He was the devoted son of Helene (Ligorio) Keefner and the late George H. Schaefer. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Ursula O''Donnell Schaefer, and their three children, Carson, Andrew and Katharine Schaefer; one sister, Lynne (Schaefer) Schneider, and many cherished sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday, April 7, from 4 to 8 p.m., at St. Mary''s Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesville Rd., Barnesville, Maryland. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 8, at St. Joseph on Carrollton Manor, 5843 Manor Woods Rd., Frederick, MD. Interment will immediately follow at All Souls Cemetery, Germantown, MD. Following the interment, friends are welcome to a lunch reception at St. Mary''s Pavilion, Barnesville, MD. Flowers may be sent to Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville, MD, or contributions in the name of Thomas Schaefer may be made to the ALS Association - DC/MD/VA Chapter, 7507 Standish Place, Derwood, MD 20855.

My condolences, I knew Tom many years ago when he worked at VA and we regularly regularly walked over to Starbucks for a morning cup of coffee. He was a good & sympathetic friend.
