Timothy Corcoran Obituary
Timothy Michael Corcoran (Age 76)
Timothy Michael Corcoran passed away at his Oakton, VA home on January 31, 2023 after his battle with cancer.
Born in 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA, Timothy attended Paris American High School and graduated from Justice High School, then known as J.E.B. Stuart High School, in 1964. He graduated from The Citadel in 1968 and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. During his armed forces career, he served in the Vietnam War earning the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal among others.
Timothy retired from the Army with the rank of Major in 1989. He transitioned into the information technology field before retiring in 2011.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; his children Teige, Ciara, and Caitirn; and brother Patrick. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Anna Mae "Nan" and brothers Dennis and Sean.
Services will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Inova Schar Cancer Institute (https://support.inova.org/page/3749/donate/). Online condolences and fond memories may be offered to the family at
