ATHEY TYRAS S. ATHEY On July 20, 2010, Tyras S. "Bunk" Athey, 83; of Centreville, MD beloved husband of Chick (nee Dorothy N. O''Lexey) Athey; devoted father of Darlene Athey, Bryan (Diana) Athey, and Cathleen (Joseph) Pritchard; grandfather of Alexis, Bryan, Jr., Gabrielle, Kailey and Brandon; loving son of the late Joseph T. "Tax" and Harriett E. Athey. Friends may visit at DONALDSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD on Saturday July 24 and Sunday July 25 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., where a Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, July 26. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 7745 Waterloo Rd, Jessup MD 20794 or the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis, MD 21403.

I was so terribly sorry to hear the loss of Mr. Athey. I only met him a couple of times but have heard many stories of good times from Darlene and Linda. Since I am expierencing the loss of my Mom not to long ago,I do know the pain of loosing someone you love very much. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
