Tyrone Whitfield Obituary



WHITFIELD TYRONE WHITFIELD A pillar of the Washington, DC community, has gone home to rest on Thursday, January 21, 2010. He served for over 30 years as a Collegiate Administrator, an Educator, and a Basketball/Football Coach. He was an integral member of "The Saturday Basketball Club", a "Techite" Class of '60, and an honored Vietnam Veteran. He is survived by his daughter, Marbe Whitfield; two grandchildren, Infinite and Ahki Fields; two sisters, Donna Whitfield and June Allen; a host of other relatives and many friends. HE WILL TRULY BE MISSED! A memorial service will be held at Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church, 610 Rhode Island Ave., N.E. on Friday, February 5 at 10 a.m. Entombment will be on February 10 at Arlington National Cemetery, where family and friends will assemble at the Administration Bldg at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements by WATSON FUNERAL HOME.
