Also survived by 17 grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial Service on Thursday, November 3 at 11 a.m. at HODGES & EDWARDS FUNERAL HOME, 3910 Silver Hill Rd., Suitland, MD. Inurnment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD on Friday, November 4 at 11 a.m.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is always so very hard to lose a loved one in death. God understands your loss and is near to all those calling on him. To all who call on him in truth. He hears their cry for help, and he rescues them. (Psalms 145:18). To her children Ajax Valentine (Natisha), Janine Valentine and Antoinette Mattison (Charles Jr.) and 17 grandchildren, your family and friends have my deepest condolences.
