Vince will certainly be missed by all of GWSUA. I have admired Vince as a person and an umpire. His dedication to the Association couldn't be beat. His uniqueness of calling a game was always so enjoyable. Miss Dorothy, please know that our thoughts are with you and the family.

Like many others before me, Vince was the first to welcome me through the door of my rookie umpiring class. I will miss his dry humor and hope that one day I will be able to hear that different drummer that Vince was always able to dance too.

Vince was the first umpire I met upon arrival in the DC Area. His contributions to the softball umpire community and especially to GWSUA will long be remembered.

I have lost a respected colleague and a great friend.
