WALTER L MELNIK
On Saturday, February 5, 2022, of Silver Spring, MD, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Beloved husband of the late Martha L. Melnik. Loving son of the late Louis N. Melnik and Evdokia K. "Jennie" Melnik. Loving father of Yvonne L. (Mark) Barash, Walter "Wally" (Meg) Melnik, and Susan "Sue" Melnik; grandfather of Laura, Eileen, Hope, Jillian and Christopher; brother of the late George L. Melnik; uncle of Lisa Sewell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m., where the Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment Union Cemetery – Burtonsville, MD.

Walter encouraged my brother and I as the first in our generation in our family to attend college. Thank you for taking care of your parents. We are sorry that we can't be there in person for all of you, but are there in spirit.
