Sad news. Remembering Hon. Warren Barry as a legislator and friend. He touched lives in many ways, including as Fairfax County Clerk - hiring young
employees and giving them a start in
life. It was a privilege to know him.
Sincere sympathy to the Barry family.
Wishing you comfort, peace and
sweet memories. Glenda Etchison

Couldn't agree more with Zofia Smardz and Susan Scharr. From my days as a reporter for WRVA, Warren ALWAYS was helpful in getting to the guts of a story. He was also a great soundbite both from the floor and in one on ones. Stringing for the "old" WMAL and WTOP we were able to get Northern Virginians the news they needed. Farwell my friend.

I remember Warren from the Va. House of Delegates. He was always helpful to a young reporter from the Washington Star -- gave me some good quotes! And he was an all-around nice guy. I was so sorry to read of his passing.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Senator Barry. I enjoyed working with him in the Senate. He was a determined and committed legislator with a strong concern for education and a great sense of humor even during difficult times. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Susan Clarke Schaar, Clerk of the Senate
