As one of the best teachers I ever had, you inspired me to greatness. Thank you for believing in me and expanding the size of my dream. I am sure you did it for many others as well. You made a difference. We will miss you.

I attended Springbrook High School Class of 81. Mr. Grooms was an AMAZING Math Teacher! He was always so kind and respectful. I think of Mr. Grooms often (truly I do). I´ve talk about Mr. Grooms often in my life. He thought me to have more confidence in myself. Mr. Grooms always believed in me! I went back to Springbrook many times, after I graduated, to see him. I now know I have another angel in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I am so sorry for your loss.

I was a 10th grader/mediocre runner with some talent (unrealized) that was recognized by Mr. Groomes. I had zero confidence in myself, but Mr. Groomes told me many times that I would achieve great things in the sport. At least by my standards, he was right. I went from the 18th man on the Springbrook cross-country team to competing throughout high school, college and well beyond. More importantly, I had a walking/talking example every day for three years of man at his best. I had stayed in touch with Warren and Judy since my 1978 graduation from Springbrook, and enjoyed visiting them in Florida in 2016 and phone calls and emails and letters as recently as this past winter. I will miss him greatly and express the deepest condolences to Judy, John, David, their families and Warren's siblings.

I have known the Groomes family since I was 9 years old and have many memories of those times. Marie Groomes was like a second mom to me. She was there when I needed support being an only child. Warren was always like a brother to me. He was always there for me. I will miss him always and cherish the time he and Judi came for Bill's service. Thank you for letting me know. You all are special to me.

Warren and Judy were like family to me and the whole family. They always stood for the children at church and were an inspiration to the youth. The world has lost a truly human angel.

"My big brother always." He was my second dad and was there for me always in so many ways since my father worked so many days and nights while I was growing up. He advised me, protected me, helped me in all my endeavors. He ket me on a path and in a direction to become a good christian. In every way he was with me. What a great and terrific man he was for so many. I will miss him forever, until I see him again in paradise. Love -- your sister!

Deeply saddened at the passing of my dear Uncle Warren. A lifetime of wonderful memories I hold seeing his great smile, hearing his laugh, and remembering his thoughtfulness. Holding you Aunt Judy, John, David and your families in God's care while you contend with this great loss in your lives. Warren was a blessing in too many ways to count. God bless.

Mr/Coach Groomes helped me and many of my classmates from Springbrook become who we are. As we from back in the day grew older, we reminisce and appreciate what Mr/Coach Groomes taught us as kids. You will be missed. RIP
