Webblyn M. Gore

Webblyn M. Gore, 100, of Rockville, Maryland passed away peacefully Friday, May 9, 2025 surrounded by family at her daughter's home. She was the wife of the late Robert Hilton Gore, married in 1954. Born February 2,1925 in Gulfport, MS, the daughter of the late Webb L. and Camille (Hagan) Mangum. Mrs. Gore attended Kingsman Elementary School, Eliot Junior High School, was a member of the 1942 graduating class of Eastern High School. She later attended Wilson Teachers College in Washington, DC. She worked for the Acacia Mutual Life Insurance Company until 1956. After her children became of school age, she worked for the Montgomery County School System, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockville for 70 years. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy G. Craig (Michael), son, Robert M. Gore, grandchildren, Katie C. Pullum (Skyler), Thomas M. Craig (Hayley), and great grandson, Webb J. Pullum. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on September 6, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Rockville located at 55 Adclare Road Rockville, Maryland 20850. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 97007, Washington DC 20090-7007 / Guidingeyes.org/donate or a charity of your choice.
