William Bailey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William "Boochie" Bailey. Beloved father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was the son of William and Mary Bailey of Waverly, VA. Devoted father of Nadia and Vera Bailey of Washington, DC. He attended Virginia State University majoring in History and becoming a proud VSU Trojan Marching Band member. William was a cherished employee at Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville, P.C. for 23 years. An avid fisherman and music aficionado with a deep passion for a diverse range of music, William travelled the country attending various concerts and festivals and creating memorable moments with his family. His brilliant smile, warm spirit, and unwavering willingness to help others will be forever missed. He is survived by his sisters, Nicole, Aliya, and Tamia, and brothers Abdul and Eric. Services will be held Saturday March 14, 2026, Viewing at 10 a.m. and Funeral at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Wakefield, VA. A Celebration of Life Event will follow at 2 p.m. at Airfield 4-H Center, Wakefield, VA. Peace Funeral Home in Waverly, VA.
