My sincere condolences to Al's children and his sister Syd. I have lots of fun memories of my childhood growing up next door to Al and Syd. Many were the times Al would talk us into going up the the top of the water tower behind the Cochrans' house to watch for any unusual aircraft due to fly over...have no idea how he knew this was going to happen, but he was right without fail. He drove us all crazy with his topspin, sidespin and cut drop shots on the neighborhood tennis court. We would scream in frustration and he would chuckle in satisfaction! He and his faithful sidekick Fido were seldom seen apart. None of us was surprised to hear that he was involved in the space program...it seemed to us that he was born for it. He m
