WILLIAM FLOYD CHAMPION-BEY "Champ" (Age 64)
On Tuesday, June 4, 2013, Champ as he was affectionately called was granted his angel wings. Beloved husband of Nellie Champion-Bey; devoted father of Taheyyer Champion-Bey and Antwane Champion-Bey, and Fretter Hedgspeth, son of Gid Champion. His legacy continues with three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four sisters, one brother and a host of relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Union Temple Baptist Church, 1225 W Street, SE, Washington, DC 20020 from 10 a.m. until the celebration of life services at 11 a.m. Interment: Cedar Hill Cemetery. My sincere condolences to the family. I met Mr. Champion-Bey through my fiancee Mr. Anthony Ford-Bey who is a dear and close friend of the family. I felt like I have known for a long time. We talked and laughed like old friends. He will be missed.
