WILLIAM A. CORLEY (Age 57)
Transitioned on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, in the company of his loving family. He is survived by his children, Andrew and Erica; his father, Andrew P. Corley Jr.; his siblings, Gwen, Richard and Angie; his granddaughter, Amira and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who all loved him dearly. Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014, from 10 a.m. until time of Homegoing service at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 1423 Girard St., NE. Interment Glenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by McGUIRE.www.mcguire-services.com

To Gwen, Angie, and Richard, You have my sincerest condolences. I was deeply sadden to hear that my friend and colleague, William, passed. We were both science teachers for DCPS. We took a class together and William kept everyone laughing. He had a wonderful personality and he always made science a wonderful experience.
I will truly miss him. I am sure he is in heaven making all the angels laugh. May GOD continue to comfort you.

To the Corley family, I was saddened to learn from my father (Al) of the passing of his friend and former neighbor "Corley" (as he called him). Although I didn't know Corley very well, my dad spoke of him often and cherished their friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I know he will be missed.

William had one of those personalities that stuck with you after he walked away. He was very outgoing and giving. Although I wasn't around him directly, it showed in his spirit. He was so closed to his family that he carried them where ever he went. That was his pride. May God surround all of you with love and hold you close, as this part of your lives have changed. In loving memory of a wonderful person. You will be truly missed at the beach and on the pier at Columbia Beach. Mr. Corley was a fun and spirited teacher at McKinley Tech SHS who inspired me to pursue my love of the sciences. I enjoyed the laughter I experienced with my classmates as a sophomore in his class. I am saddened by the passing of William. We worked together at McKinley Technical High School for many years and I always found him to be a very pleasant person. His late mother, Mrs. Angie Corley, was a wonderful woman who possessed many wonderful traits. May the angels bear him up and the Lord give his soul repose.
