On Saturday, April 16, 2005 at his Alexandrian Home. Devoted father of C.O'D Alaina Delaney of Alexandria, VA, Toni Underwood of Atlanta, GA and Kate McKelleget of Suwannee, GA. He is also survived by his sister, Catharine Garber of Alexandria, VA and sister-in-law, Sarah Carter Delaney of Alexandria, VA. He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, eight nieces, seven nephews. Friends and family may call at EVERLY-WHEATLEY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA 22302 on Thursday, April 21, 2005 from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Royal St., Alexandria, VA on April 22, 2005 at 10 a.m. There will be a reception held afterwards at The American Legion Post 24 on Cameron St. in Alexandria, VA. The burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery on June 21, 2005 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Eight and Forty Nursing Scholarship, 3448 Sunrise Way, Landers, CA 92285.

I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Delaney's passing. He gave me my first sugery when I was 14. He was a great man and a wonderful Dr. I will never forget him telling me,"it will hurt more if you if you don't let me take it out." It was my tonsils.
