Peggy--
I just learned of Bill;'s death and am very saddened. Although I hadn't seen Bill for some time, he was a very important and influential person in my life. I shall try to attend the memorial service tomorrow.

Although I cannot join the rest of the family on Saturday, I want you to know that I am there with you and I too miss Uncle Bill. You and he were such a great support to us when Charlene passed, and now we can take solace that they are together again.

Peggy, I have just written you a note, but I am grateful to have had the chance to get to know you and Bill even a little since this summer. You are both remarkable people and I know that you will miss him. You are all in my prayers and in the prayers of those at St. Tim's.
