It is a sad day indeed to see this notice. My heartfelt prayers of sympathy to all his family and friends who are missing him. I had the honor, priviledge, and pleasure of working with Bill at the Dept. of Energy. He was a fountain of knowledge and very supportive. His daily positive outlook was an inspiration to me. I think of him from time to time, and will remember him always as kind and thoughtful of others.

My condolences to Bill's family during this difficult time. I had the privilege of working with Bill during his time at the US Department of Energy. Some of the more memorable projects were related to energy development in sub-Sahara Africa. It was interesting and challenging work; and Bill brought a quiet confidence and positive outlook to everything he did. I also very much enjoyed Bill's stories and insights about his long and varied military career. He was a great man, who lived a great life of service to his country.
