To all of Billy's family - you have my deepest sympathy and my prayers. Billy was my classmate at St. Ambrose and my over-the-fence neighbor in Cheverly for many years. I have very fond memories of him. He was such a good guy and a good friend to all. He had a great smile and was always so polite and sincere. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.

I was saddened to hear about Bill's passing. Although we lost contact after graduating from Carroll H.S. so many years ago, I did think of him every so often. How could I forget the guy who trained me to make and flip the best hamburgers at the Wheaton Plaza McDonalds? Even though Bill and I were in the same class in school he treated me like a little brother and helped me to feel at home and fit in during an awkward time in my life. I only wish we would have stayed in contact. I pray that God blesses him and comforts his family and friends. Go Lions.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Lerch family during this time of deep sorrow. Bill and I taught a 6th grade religious education class together at St. Mary of the Mills in the mid 90's. He was a great role model for the children and really added warmth and humor to the class. I ran into Bill during mass several years ago at St. Michael's Church in Poplar Springs. I had noticed Erik's name on our prayer list in our weekly bulletin and Bill told me that the congregation's prayers meant alot to his family. Erik has been on my prayer list ever since. I will pray for Bill's soul, may he rest in eternal peace and pray that his family may find solace in knowing that Bill touched the lives of so many in his short time on earth. Sincerely, Lucia Articola

Tony and family,
Sometimes special people get called to heaven early becuase God can't wait any longer to be with them. Knowing this does not always make it any easier on those who are left behind. I will pray for you and your family.

I could write so much about Willie...my family and I loved him so much, there are few memories that we have in which Willie is not apart of, he was the greatest friend to my parents, and a great role model for my brothers, sister and I. When he hugged you, he grabbed on and you knew that he loved you with each squeeze. I am going to miss running into on the street after work, in the grocery store, his space between his teeth, his laugh, and most of all I am going to miss being called Tara Michelle. Joan asked me the other day to never forget him, and I thought about that and for me to forget about Willie would require me to forget about my childhood and many important events in my life. Joan I will never forget about Willie, you, Eric, or Tony. I love you all very much.

Every year 2 friends of mine run a golf tournament to raise money for a local child. This year it was for Erik.
Bill was so happy that day, seeing a lot of the old "Cheverly" people and thanking us for helping his son.
I would like to say "Thank you Bill for being our friend".
With deepest sorrow,
Ann and all the Jochum Family

My deepest sympathies to Bill's family. I had not seen Bill in many years, since Gary stopped playing ball at the Knights. My brother Danny would see him and say hello for me. I wish I had gone down there myself this past summer. I'll always have fond memories of my friendship with Bill. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
