William Douglas Mills "Big Dog"  
William Douglas Mills "AKA Big Dog" was the most amazing father, grandfather, brother, friend, coworker, and pontoon captain. He left this world on December 17, 2021 at age 75.Doug was born July 21, 1946 in Fort Worth Texas to Dorothy Gene Pfannstiel. He grew up in Vienna, VA with his brother, John Timothy Mills, and sister, Virginia Mills Caputo. After graduating from James Madison High School in Vienna, VA he proudly fought for our country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War. He returned to VA and married his ex-wife, Gail Marie Roberts. Over the years his family grew from two to four. His two sons, Jason and Jeremy Mills made the family complete. As the boys grew up, they kept Doug on his toes and a smile on his face. Doug was an involved father who coached his sons' baseball teams and was always there to support them in the other sports they competed in. Loved ones that will miss Doug until they meet again are his son and daughter in-law Jason and Megan Mills; his son and daughter in law Jeremy and Sheena Mills; his grandchildren Caden Mills, Kylie Mills, Tyler Mills, and Abbey Mills.The man, the myth, the legend.The family will receive friends at the MONEY & KING FUNERAL HOME, 171 West Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Thursday, January 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:National Multiple Sclerosis SocietyPO Box #91891Washington, DC 20090www.nationalmssociety.org
