I was so sorry to Learn of Bud's death. He was a fine man and although I hadn't seen him in many years, I know that he continued to be a good friend to many and a caring individual. My condolences to Austin and other members of his family.

Prayers for Lisa and the entire family, we are so sad to hear of Bud's passing. Lisa, you light up any room you enter and to lose your true trust and love is only deepest sorrow. We all know there is a God who has a way of matching our anguish with joyful happenstance and unexpected delights. Prayers those joys and delights fall upon you in abundant succession. Bud will be greatly missed in our community. I will always picture his face with his cheerful smile and bright eyes. Our family thinks of him with such fondness. My father was a friend of his for many years and I was so fortunate to get to know Bud through our time on swim team with the kids. We send prayers and hugs to you, Lisa & kids, at this tough time.
With love & sorrow, The O'Malley Family

Throughout life, Bud carried the attributes I saw in him in high school. He was intelligent, a leader and very competitive...but, most of all, Bud was a loyal, fair-minded and caring person...He had strong personal beliefs and loved his family...I will sincerely miss Bud's smile and easy approach to life...My thoughts are with Lisa, the children and grandchildren...

He was such a lovely man. I adored him. I so remember how vibrant his smile was when he and Lisa married. There was such joy in him. And, my goodness, did he love his boys AND his daughter. He just loved so deeply and so much. There is not an image I will hold of him that does not include his smile. It was a smile that could light up the world.

For all the years that we were together at the sport and health club in Tysons Bud and always shared the fact we were born the same year but a day a part. Very tough loss.

Dear Lisa and Family,
A few years ago in the spring, I crossed paths with Bud on the bike path. Bud had just dropped his car off for repair in Vienna and was walking home. We chatted for a while about the beautiful weather, car repairs, and family. He looked great! He had a twinkle in his eye and he was clearly happy and upbeat. That is how I will remember him.
Donn and I are deeply saddened by your loss of Bud from your family. We know that your many good memories of Bud will give you strength during this very sad time.
Love,
Rebecca Bowerman and Donn Milton

Bud and I were introduced many years ago at some bar function, and became friends who saw each other far too infrequently. I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing, and further saddened by the fact that I was unaware of the severity of his illness. Bud was an exceptional individual - a smart and friendly lawyer whose word was his bond. Cool, temperate, reasoned and accessible, he made important contributions to the bar and the profession without the slightest hint of self-importance. For Bud, to be described as "what you see is what you get" was an accurate, but inadequate description of his life role. He was far more important to the profession than he wanted one to think or know. He was a man of singularly quiet strength who leaves a legacy of quiet accomplishments.
