William Taylor Stansbury

William Taylor Stansbury of Rockville, MD, and formerly of Morgantown, WV, passed away on December 19, 2025, at the age of 75.
William was born on April 27, 1950, to Edward "Bunk" Charles Stansbury and Elizabeth "Betty" Stansbury. He grew up in Morgantown, WV. He attended Saint Joseph's Preparatory Seminary for high school. He attended West Virginia University, earning his bachelor's degree in Accounting. He was a longtime resident of Arlington, VA, before finally settling in Rockville, MD.
The cornerstone of his life was his Catholic faith, which he attributes to saving his relationship with his son, Taylor, and maintaining his relationship with his wife, Charlene.
William is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Charlene Stansbury; his son, Taylor Frank Stansbury; his stepson, Geoffrey Cox; and his stepdaughter-in-law, Devyani Cox. The funeral service will be held on January 10, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Saint Raphael's Catholic Church, 1513 Dunster Road, Rockville, MD 20854. The burial will be private and will take place at a later date.
