WILLIAM MORRIS YOFFEE July 16, 1932 - August 2, 2018
Husband, father, grandfather, career civil-servant and friend, William (Bill) Morris Yoffee, age 86, of Silver Spring, went to his eternal rest on August 2, 2018. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Bernstein Yoffee, who passed away in April 2017. He is survived by his two children, a son, Michael (Carol Beth) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Stephanie of Rockville, Maryland; and four grandchildren, Eric (fiancée Abigail Blatt), Max Zack, Alana and Benjamin. Bill and Barbara's basset hound, Emmie, who passed away in 2016, was a vocal and constant companion for over 15 years. Funeral services were held at Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, Silver Spring, MD. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, at Ohev Sholom Mount Moriah Cemetery in Harrisburg PA. In lieu of flowers, welcome donations may be made to Montgomery Hospice, University of Chicago Library, University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, and the Maryland School for Jewish Education (MSJE).

Our family is spread out all over, but luckily I was able to stay in occasional contact with Bill and Barbara and for that am grateful. I remember some elegant and happy brunches in Baltimore. Condolences to Billy's family.
