WINSTON GUNTER Obituary
Winston O'Neal Gunter, Sr.
Winston O'Neal Gunter, Sr. died peacefully in his sleep March 31, 2021 at his home in Rockville, Maryland. Winston was born to Ailue O. Gunter, Sr. and Louise Gunter, the third of six children, on November 24, 1954. He was a Junior National Honors Society member, and graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase Senior High where he played football. He attended Wichita State and worked a number of jobs over the years, becoming a self-taught Software Development and Database Consultant, contracting with companies in the private and government sectors. Winston is survived by his wife, Courtney and his four children, Christian Webley, Winston Gunter, Jr., Elisabeth Bailey and Devon Gunter. He was grandfather to eight grandchildren. Winston was predeceased by his father, Ailue Sr. He leaves behind his mother, Louise, five siblings, and a host of nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as numerous family members and friends. A memorial service will be scheduled for a date in the future.

I just found out on the BCC reunion site that Winston passed away last year. I remember Winston so well. We were in the same home room at Leland Junior High School and BCC. He was one of those people who garnered your respect by his very presence, tone of voice, and intellect. I'm happy he had a good life but saddened by his early departure from this existance.

Winston was one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. Patient, loving, friendly, and always willing to listen and give good advice. You no longer have pain, my friend, rest in peace in heaven, where I hope to meet you again. I miss you so much. My condolences to the whole family.
