Charlene Elizabeth Crawford

Charlene Elizabeth Crawford of Alexandria, Virginia, died unexpectedly on Saturday night, July 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Charlene was the beloved daughter of Clare Crawford-Mason and Robert W. Mason, Jr., and the late Honorable Victor L. Crawford. She was born June 20, 1967 in Ann Arbor, MI. A graduate of St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School, Blessed Sacrament School, Immaculata Preparatory School, and the University of Maryland, Charlene was a talented Independent Event Producer successfully collaborating with such companies as Freeman, CVS, AT&T, and Amazon. A generous soul with a heart of gold, Charlene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She lived her life with honesty, grace, and an unwavering love for her family and friends. She took great joy in arranging gatherings at Middlesex Beach, DE for her extended family and friends, and being CharChar and Auntie with her godchildren Sarah and Ryan Chawki, and her brother Victor's grandchildren, James, June and Millie White. Charlene is survived by her parents, Clare and Bob Mason; her stepmother, Linda Crawford Adelberg (Arthur); her brothers, Victor Crawford, Jr., John Fox Mason, and Robert Mason, III; her stepsister, Elizabeth Christenson (Richard Meese); her aunt, Lee Wootten; her niece, Heather White (Brian); her nephew, Benjamin Hughes; and her friends, AnnMarie Hritz, Meghan Clinton, and Amin Chawki. A memorial service celebrating Charlene's life will be held on Saturday, September 7th, 11 a.m. at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 5949 Western Ave. NW, Washington, D.C.
