Janet M. McGuire of Chevy Chase. 90, passed away on 1/16/22. Born and raised in Latrobe, PA; Maryland resident since 1955 and life-long conservative. Chief Hostess on the C&O Railroad (DC to Cincinnati), '55-'60; DC Teacher, Draper Elementary, SE, '60-'65; Director of USO Manila, Rome, Atlanta,'67-'74; First Director of Friendship Heights Village Community Center, 1986. Miss McGuire never married. Sister of Hilda Suss, she later adopted her nephews and nieces: Susan Jones, Kip Suss, Jonathan David (Jack) Suss, Fred Suss, Rosemary Gurel, Madeline Bishop, Jennifer Gilmer and Patrick McGuire. She is also survived by a sprinkling of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes, Bethesda, on Mon., 1/24, 10:00 AM, followed by burial at St. Peter's Church, Queenstown, MD. Please sign the Guestbook at www.legacy.com/washingtontimes
