Laszlo C. Pasztor

Laszlo C. Pasztor, 93, served two nations. In his early life he served Hungary as a diplomat & as a revolutionary freedom fighter. After the defeat of the Hungarian Revolution in 1956, he fled to the USA as a political refugee. He then served his new country as an official of the Republican National Committee (RNC) & as a leader of several conservative political organizations. He was a dedicated & outspoken advocate for political freedom & for human rights. As he wrote, "I can attest to having given my very best to uphold the principles of the 1956 Hungarian eedom Fighter's Revolution & for universal justice. I did this concurrently while serving my adopted country, the United States of America." He died in Falls Church, VA on Sun., March 15, 2015. He was preceded in death in 2007 by wife of 58 yrs., Adel. His survivors include: son, Laszlo Pasztor, Jr. (Margaret), their four children: Hope, Margaret, Joelee & Laszlo, Carlisle, PA? brother, Gyorgy Pasztor, 92, Budapest, Hungary. Memorial service will be on Sat., May 9, beginning at 2:00 pm, Oxnam Chapel, Wesley Theological Seminary, 4500 Massachusetts Ave, N.W. Wash., DC 20016.
