Sarah Harris Obituary

Sarah Jane Harris, age 25, was taken from this world far too soon. No last farewell or final goodbye. She was gone before anyone knew it. Though Sarah was taken from her loving family and friends, she was received beautifully by her Lord Jesus Christ and her beloved brother Christopher on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in Clarksburg, Maryland. The loss of such a remarkable Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter, Aunt, and one of a kind woman is utterly devastating. Sarah's family and friends will strive to honor her elegant memory by living their lives with love and compassion. Cherishing each breath the Lord provides, knowing with every breath they take, they"ll be taking one for her. Sarah had a passion for learning, drawing, and spending time with her puppy Winston. She loved photography, traveling, meeting new people, exploring God's creations, animals, laughing with her sisters, and most of all creating precious memories with her family. She had a personality that would light up a room and she carried a radiant smile along with it. She marched to the beat of her own drum and was like no other. She loved fiercely and passionately, feeling incredibly blessed each day of her life. Passionate, Kind, Ambitious, Fearless, Intelligent, Beautiful, and Free Spirited, Sarah Harris' devotion to helping others and living life to the fullest while overcoming the obstacles she faced, will be remembered with everlasting love and admiration long after her passing. Her genuine, beautiful, and pure soul will remain within each of her loved ones until she meets them again in Heaven. Sarah is survived by her remarkably courageous and adored mother Tina Lynn Harris; Her dearest father Mark Harris; Her two devoted sisters Victoria Alexandra Ladson and Rachel Catherine Elizabeth Harris. Her darling niece Lily Madison Ladson. Her beloved grandparents Roger and Linda Oxley; Her dear Aunt Jeanne; and the many others who are forever changed because of her beautifully radiant and dazzling soul. Celebration of life details will be given at a later date. Please sign the Guestbook at www.legacy.com/washingtontimes

I saw the 48 hours episode. I am SO truly sorry for your loss. There are some angels that can only stay on earth for a short time. That being said, I cannot imagine the pain her parents are going through. We’re not supposed to bury our children.
I will continue to pray for your family

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I will always cherish the time spent with Sarah and she will never be forgotten. Sarah and I met at the Miss Maryland USA 2021 pageant. It was my first time participating in a pageant and Sarah and I instantly connected. Later we found out that Miss Maryland USA had randomly placed us to be roommates since we had a lot in common. She made my pageant experience feel effortless. She calmed me down and was a shoulder to cry on when I was sad and ran around with me to get ready in time for the show! I felt like I had known her my whole life. I told her I want her to be my pageant roommate for future competitions and we talked about meeting up once the pageant was over with another friend we also instantly clicked with at the event, Alix (Miss Finksburg MD). When we left the pageant, I was so sure the three of us would hang out again like we had discussed. I am beyond sorry and I can't begin to explain the sympathy that I feel towards the family. During a time as such, remember her jokes, wit, smile, and happiness. Sarah was an amazing person and I am forever grateful to have known her, forever my pageant roommate.

Sarah was an absolutely incredible woman. I met her on the first day of the Miss Maryland USA pageant in July 2021. I knew nobody and I think my anxiety was palpable, because she came right up to me and invited me to sit with her for rehearsal. We chatted for a while and it felt like I had met a long lost sister. She melted away my anxiety just with her warm, loving presence. We planned to do the pageant together again, rooming with our other friend Ellen. We were going to see a music festival. I was lucky to have been a part of her beautiful life, even just for a short time. She made the pageant experience what it was for me. Without her, I don't know if I could have found the confidence in myself- and she didn't even try. I cannot fathom the pain of this loss, but I am so grateful to have known Sarah and to have a piece of her in my heart.
To the Harris family, may G*d comfort you. May your hearts be full of the memories of her laughter.
