Bobby Agle peacefully left his worldly body August 17th, 2023 - held in love and surrounded by his family and his care team.
Bobby's life began on December 23rd, 1941 in Boone, North Carolina. Born to and proceeded in passing by Robert Edward Agle, Sr. (Bob) And Margaret Eury Agle - Bobby was a son, a brother to his surviving siblings Mollie Taylor, Jim Agle, Rich Agle and Bill Agle; a father to his surviving children, Robert Edward Agle III (Rob) & Ralunrorn Agle and an Uncle to his beloved niece Kelly Agle who preceded him in passing, and to his surviving nieces and nephews Clay Taylor, Eric Taylor, Tracey Castiano, Chris Agle, Josh Taylor, Kristen Lambros, Richie Agle, Maggi Agle, Logan Agle, Erika Taylor, Anna Taylor, Abigail Taylor, Tanner Agle, Alexa Lambros, Kylie Agle, Noah Taylor, Davis Agle, Parker Agle, Ava Castiano and Mia Castiano.
Upon graduating from high school, Bobby served his country in the United States Air Force before going on to complete his undergraduate and graduate studies in History and Political Science at Appalachian State University.
In addition to his academic savvy, Bobby was an unstoppable force athletically. Elected into the ASU Athletics Hall of Fame, Bobby continues to hold an unbroken single-game receiving touchdown record nearly 60 years after it was set, the number two records in career and season receiving touchdowns as well as 7 other top-ten-ranked offensive records. In recognition of the timelessness of his performance, his position as a Mountaineer Wide Receiver was immortalized on App State's 75th-Anniversary football team in 2003.
Bobby went on to play professional football in the Canadian Football League for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, in the Eastern Football League for the Orlando Panthers, and in the National Football League for the Cleveland Browns.
Professionally, Bobby worked as a teacher in the Mecklenburg County School System, as a Tennis Pro at Kildaire Farms Racquet & Swim Club, and as a top-producing insurance sales leader for the Principal Financial Group et. al.
In retirement Bobby enjoyed painting, spending time outdoors with his dog Sadie Baker and studying the Bible and its sacred assurance of eternal salvation.

Bob was a pass catching phenom. I had to practice against him every day. He made me look silly many times but also made me better. Good team leader! He will be missed,
