Laura South Obituary
Laura Laureen Stout South, age 62, of Claremont, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. She was born March 4, 1963, in Chemung County, New York to Russell Frank and Pearl Velma Robinson Stout. Laura loved God, family, and going to the beach when she was able. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy South; and brother, Rusty Stout.
Those left to cherish her memories are her spouse, Randolph Creol South of Todd; her children, Samantha Trivette and spouse Joseph of Roan Mtn, Tennessee, Joseph South and spouse Priscilla of Newland, Katie Dering and spouse Andrew of North Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Auhdri, Serenity, Regulus, Zack, Kyleigh, Ryleigh, Sophia, Stetson, Apollo and Talon; sister, Nancy Stout of Todd; brother, William Stout of Elmira, New York; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service in North Wilkesboro from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025. The family has requested no flowers.
