Daniel Jones Pradt

Glen Ellyn, IL - On December 18th, 2018 Gentleman Daniel Jones Pradt, 82, passed on one year, eleven months, and nine days after the death of his wife, Helen. He is survived by his two children, Karla and Louis (wife Catherine), five grandchildren Anthony, Noelle, Aeriel, Abigail and Lillian, great grandchild Ryan and his brother Louis A. Pradt.

He was born and raised in Wausau, Wisconsin, and graduated from Wausau Senior High School in1954. He graduated from Lawrence University in 1958.

LTJG Pradt served two years in the US Navy and lived in Chicago for many years after until he married in 1965. He was a resident of the Village of Glen Ellyn, IL. for 45 years. He enjoyed working with numbers, investing, studying the game of chess and he could always be found reading a good book. He had many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends all of whom admired Dan as a gentle, humble, intelligent, generous and kind man.

A memorial gathering will be held on January 5th at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. 393 N. Main St. in Glen Ellyn Illinois at 10 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. A procession will follow to Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Dan's name (ref. #11495150) to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 1-800-822-6344.Thank you.
