Port Edwards - Danise Wegner, age 76, of Port Edwards, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Private funeral services will be held at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Online condolences may be expressed at ritchayfuneralhome.com.
Danise was born May 7, 1942 in Merrill to Fred and Betty (Davis) Dorfschmidt. She married Allan Wegner on August 5, 1961 in Merrill. She was employed as a food service worker for the Port Edwards Public Schools. Her interests included crocheting. Most of all Danise was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Allan Wegner of Port Edwards; three children Jacqui (Chris) Hoffman of Nekoosa, Jeffrey (Linda) Wegner of Wisconsin Rapids and Jenifer Dassow of Port Edwards; five grandchildren Jon, Jessica, Rayna, Kaden and Olivia and two great grandchildren Dylan and Lauren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three half-brothers Richard, Cal and Lorton and one-half sister Eileen.
