Dear Mary Clare and family,
Just receiving letters from you. My tears are knowing Dr. DJ spirit lives on forever. I always remember Mary Clare giving grace to Dr. DJ's faith during his life. Now what I know is what he has done for many yet his love of wife and family. All that comes to mind is "There before me was a door standing open in heaven" Revelation 4:1 ~ he is a earthly father with his heavenly father whom made infinite lasting memories in every facet of life. Shalom, Wendy, Mark, Marianna & Victor

Without the persistence of Doc Freeman and MaryClare, the beautiful public space known as the 400 Block would not exist. It should be renamed Freeman Square to honor his/their vision and sacrifice. They knew Wausau needed a gathering space for the community to enjoy. God Bless Joe and his tireless efforts to conserve and unify.

Dr. Freeman was a kind and compassionate man who welcomed us to town with open arms in 1976. He was a wonderful friend and mentor. He made the world a better place. Peace to his memory. Heartfelt sympathy to Mary Clare and the entire family.

I never had the pleasure of knowing your father. I have to say this is the most exquisite, beautify written remembrance of such an incredible person. Your father was obviously one of the most incredibly talented, very accomplished, generous, loving and by observation, brilliant man. Thank you for sharing his legacy. God bless his incredible family.
