David A. Wunsch, 32, Wausau, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

He was born March 19, 1985, son of Todd Wunsch and the late Gwendolyn (Keeler) Blume.

David was currently employed at Crystal Finishing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tinkering with mechanical things. He liked to figure out how things worked and enjoyed doing research on different subjects. His pride and joy was his daughter, Alexis and above all he loved spending time with her.

Survivors include his daughter, Alexis; father and step-mother, Todd (Lori Ann) Wunsch; sisters, Chandra (Adam) Malzahn and Angela (Calley Wiese) Wunsch; grandparents, Robert and Diane Wunsch and Delbert Keeler; step-grandmother, Mary Newman; niece and nephew, Makayla and Jaden Malzahn.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by grandmothers, Vergene Wunsch and Marie Hollis and step-grandfather, William Newman.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 920 Edgewood Road, Wausau. Rev. Kemp Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Dave's family, and alexis there are no words that can express what you are going thro at this difficult time, I am so sorry, all my thought and prayers,positive energy sent your way. Dave was a wonderful person with a heart of gold and he has expressed countless times how much he loved all of you and we often shared alot of great stories about each others families, you could hear it in his voice how much his family and his daughter meant to him. Again I am very sorry.

Dave was one of the nicest people I have known, always willing to help anyone who asked and always nice to be around. I got to know him when he started dating my daughter Kasey years ago, she also wants to say how sorry she is to hear about his passing and we will all miss him so much.

Dave, there are no words that will ever explain how I'm feeling right now. I am speechless and numb, and I'm praying this is all a dream and wake up from it. My cries have turned into sobs, and I just can't believe your not here anymore. I love you my friend, and want to say thank you Dave, thank you for always being here for me when I needed a shoulder to lean on and finding the perfect words to make me feel better, and somehow managing to always throw in something funny to say, thank you for listning to me even though I knew you were tired from work and just wanted to sleep, you never turned me away. I am blessed that you were in my life and I will always cherish every single memory we've had together and I will never ever forget you. Your a wonderful soul, with a true heart of gold and I just know that your daughter Alexis will shine as she grows older because she has so many of your qualities and a heart like yours Dave. I know your looking down from the heavens right now and I hope that you see how many people are at a loss of words by you leaving us so soon, and deeply saddened. You made a positive impact on Brett and Brooke's lives and they will never forget you. Well my friend, until we meet again.
