Glenn was our backfield football coach in my senior year at Whitefish Bay High School, 1962. All the players
admired him. He was very much an inspiration for us! He was instrumental in our achieving an 8 - 0 record,
and putting up stats never again done. Lots of people still say it is the best football team the school has ever
had in it's 100 year history.
I never knew what happened to you until today when I hopped on the i-net searching you. No surprise that
you touched so many lives in such a wonderful manner, as you touched ours. R.I.P.

I know its been 11 years since Glenns' passing and thinking back I
wish I had more time with him as a family relative. Time slips away
and you don't know where the time went. Aunt Judy, my last surviving aunt, is as wonderful as Glenn. Always soft spoken and truly a joy to visit. I know your remembering his passing and hope he will live in our hearts forever.

I first met coach Young while attending winter quarter at NHCC in 1975. I had just gotten out of the Navy and wanted to get more schooling. I originally met him through his weight training class. We talked often about goals, football and life. That following fall I played football for Coach in 1975 and 1976. He was a great Man and Coach. He taught me a great deal about football but most importantly about life. I still go by life lessons I learned through the coach. He was by far the Best Coach I ever had. I came back and saw him through the years after moving to Kansas City. I last saw and spoke with him at his retirement. I have heard he passed several years ago and just found this Obituary. I hope all is well with the family and I know Coach is in a much better place. I still remember his stories about Purdue football and more importantly his stories and advice on life.

Dear Judy, Craig and Cindy:
I don't know what made me do it but I did a google search of Coach today and saw that he had passed. I was very, very sorry to read it. I had tremendous respect for him and was always very grateful that I got to know him in the two very short years of playing ball at NHCC. I thought of him often and regret that I never reconnected with him. Hard pressed to find a better person than him!
Hope you are all well.

Dear Judy and family,
John Jackson just called to see if we knew of Glenn's passing. We were so surpised and deeply saddened. We still had hopes of getting up to see you next summer. I will always treasure the experiences Glenn and I shared on the many Colorado backpacking trips. He was greatly respected by the students. He never complained even though his hips were bad. Our love and prayers for your comfort and peace. May our Lord be your strength in this loss.

We're so sorry to hear about Coach's passing. He was a real presence for us at NHCC, and a good and gentle man. Jonn and I both enjoyed joking with him in the Athletic Building! We pray for God's grace for you all at this tough time.

I was so sorry to hear of Glenns passing. He was a great person and as a coach way ahead of his time. The people who knew him at North Hennepin have missed him since he left. I'm glad I got to know and work with him.

Judy...I am so sad to hear of the passing of Glenn and I have failed miserably at staying in touch with you. It's odd that this happened to Glenn at this time. I had just thought of him ... wondering about him and you...and then I heard this news ! How strange it is sometimes that it seems God has given us a 6th sense when we are suddenly made aware of someone & thoughts are stirred...because THEN I suddenly heard that Glenn was gone! Oh, I'm grieving for you & yours,,,Glenn was a sweet kind soul. I am determined to get in touch with you and try to renew our contacts.

Aunt Judy, Ronnie & I were both so sorry to hear of Uncle Glenn's passing. Ronnie loved him so much. Every time he watches a Packers game he talks about his Uncle Glenn. We will keep you in our prayers.

Aunt Judy, I just learned of Uncle Glenn's passing today and wanted to tell you how truly sorry I am for your loss. Uncle Glenn was my first love, handsome, funny, loving, kind, and soft spoken. I looked up to him my whole life as he was the epitomy of what a man should be. He made this world a better place. I love you and hold you in my prayers. I've included my favorite picture of him.

Aunt Judy, Diane and I just found out about Uncle Glenn's passing. He was such a wonderful man and so mild mannered. Our hearts go out to you, Craig and Cindy. I'm sure their hearts are broken also. I told my brother-in-law and sister-in-law about Glenn's passing and they also said they will miss him. They said they will still stop to see you when they are in Eagle River. We hope you are able to adjust to the void in your life because we know what a huge loss this is.
