Tracy Bergmann Obituary

Tracy L. Bergmann, 58, of rural Sumner, died Sunday morning, August 11, 2024, at Unity Point/Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2024, Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli with Rev. Marilyn Sargent officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m., Friday, August 16 at Grace Lutheran Church and for one hour preceding services at the Church on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the family for later designation. Becker & Son Funeral Home in Tripoli is assisting Tracy's family. Online condolences may be left at www.beckermilnesrettig.com.

Tracy Lynn, daughter of Gordon and Alice (Salisbury) Sanderson was born on March 27, 1966, at St. Francis Hospital in Waterloo. She was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Waterloo and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church-Siegel, Tripoli. Tracy received her education in the Tripoli School System, graduating from Tripoli High School in 1984. Following graduation, she continued her education at A.I.C. in Waterloo. On September 24, 1995, she was united in marriage with Dale Bergmann, at Split Rock Park, rural Fredericksburg with Rev. Salge presiding. Tracy worked at I. P. B., Target Distribution, Bertch Cabinets, and most recently at Lifeline. For the past ten years, she has helped take care of her grandchildren, which has been something she has thoroughly enjoyed. Tracy has always been willing to help a family member or friend in need, and has volunteered for many community activities, including the Tripoli Wrestling Club. She enjoyed riding motorcycle with her husband, camping, bargain shopping, but her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family and friends.

Tracy is survived by her husband, Dale of rural Sumner; two daughters, Kala (Travis) Kruse of Frederika and Kendra (Darin) Lockard of Maynard; two step-children, Jesse Bergmann of Nashua and Chantelle Jordan of New Hampton; ten grandchildren, Isaac, Charlie, and Zachary Kruse, Journey, Harley, Knox and Frankey Lockard, Jade and Sheyenne Bergmann, and Kadrian Wigant; mother, Alice Sanderson of Tripoli, brothers, Jeff Sanderson of Cedar Falls, Dennis Sanderson of Tripoli, Randy (Robin) Sanderson of Waterloo, and Kerry (Shelly) Sanderson of Tripoli; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger (Loretta) Bergmann of Frederika, Jane Onken of San Simon, Arizona, Sally (Carl) Dietrich of Springfield, Missouri, Gary (Joyce) Bergmann of Frederika, Tommy (Rhonna) Bergmann of Waverly, and Debra Lundblade of Stoutland, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon; grandparents, Arthur and Miriam Salisbury, Earl and Charlotte Sanderson, and Harvey and Dorothy Spettel; parents-in-law, Robret and LaDonna Bergmann; brother, Howard Sanderson; nephew, Seth Sanderson; niece, Wenday Bergmann; and brothers-in-law, Jim Onken and Walter Lundblade.
