Troy Kuethe Obituary
Troy was born on May 7, 1962, in Sumner, Iowa, the son of Dale LeRoy and Grace Joan (Nolte) Kuethe. Troy was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Readlyn and graduated from Wapsie Valley High School in 1980. Troy was united in marriage to Paige L. Hagenow on September 18, 1982, at Zion Lutheran Church.
Troy worked for Quality Accounting Services in Waterloo for thirty years. In 2014, Troy and Paige moved to Geneseo to be closer to their family. While in Geneseo, Troy worked as office manager for Crowe Chrysler Dodge Jeep (Now Ed Morse) in Kewanee, Illinois retiring in September of 2023.
Troy was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church, where he served as deacon. He also served on the Readlyn Library Board. Troy's greatest joy was being Papa to his five grandchildren. Troy was handy and always eager and willing to help his sons with their projects. He was also an avid golfer.
Troy is survived by his wife, Paige Kuethe; two sons, Clay (Jessica) Kuethe and their children, Madison and Avery Kuethe; and Tyler (Brittany) Kuethe and their children, Barrett, Elouise, and Wesley, all of Geneseo, Illinois; his mother, Grace Kuethe; a brother, Todd (Kris) Kuethe, a sister, Sara (Steve) Boevers; his mother-in-law, Doris Hagenow; two sisters-in-law, Penny (Jeff) Schmidt and Tempest (K.C.) Hutcheson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Kuethe, father-in-law, Larry Hagenow, his paternal grandparents, Elmer and Leona Kuethe and his maternal grandparents, Oscar and Martha Nolte.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Readlyn and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church in Readlyn with Pastor Jean Rabary officiating. Burial will be held in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Readlyn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
