DEBRA GAY KATHER Debra Gay Kather, 65, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Dolores Pirez Harmon. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Jeffrey L Kather. Debra was a long-time member of Joy Fellowship Church where she served in the children's ministry for numerous years. She loved gardening, singing, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Williford and her husband, Phillip; son, Jeffrey Kather and his wife, Heather; grandchildren, Kayden, Emma, and Izabella Williford and Logan Kather; sister, Sheila Whitaker; other extended family and friends. The family received friends from 6pm to 8pm, on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Chester Chapel. A funeral service was held at 11am, on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the funeral home with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
