He attended Cisco Junior College before transferring to The University of North Texas where he met Donna Buie, the love of his life. He owned numerous cars over the years including 3 Model A Fords, 4 Chevrolets as well and a Dodge, Corvette and a Mustang Fastback. But he loved Oldsmobiles the most, owning 8 of them and becoming the President of the North Texas Oldsmobile Club.
After living in Richardson for 20 years, Eddie and Donna moved to Red Oak in 1991 because Eddie had been working on the Super Conducting Super Collider Project for two years. They have been devoted members of Park Meadows Church in Waxahachie for 34 years and a few of Eddie's favorite activities included weekly Sunday School Classes and the monthly Men's Breakfast.
