Amelia Ann "Mimi" Stern

1945 - 2024

Amelia Ann Stern, also known as Mimi, passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 78 in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She was born on March 4, 1945, in Waterloo, Iowa, to her loving parents. Amelia attended Waterloo West High School, graduating in 1963.

Amelia had a fulfilling career at John Deere Waterloo, where she worked tirelessly until her retirement. She was known for her dedication and commitment to her work.

Amelia was a cherished member of her family and leaves behind a legacy of love and beautiful memories. She is survived by her son Allen (Nancy) Stern of Waverly, daughter Tracy (Douglas) Baldwin of Steamboat Rock, brother David (Loni) Elmore of Gilbertville, sister Barbara Hoppes of Washburn, and her beloved grandchildren James Baldwin, Pete Baldwin, Brady Stern, Nicholas Stern, Shelby Baldwin, Mason Stern, and great-grandchild Indigo Rice. She is also survived by her half-siblings Suzanne (Elmore) Malek, Kenneth Elmore, Mark Elmore, John Elmore, Marcus Elmore, and Peter Elmore.

Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jeffrey Elmore, and her half-sisters JoDell Bush and Ann Marie Rutter, as well as her half-brother Rod Elmore.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later day to honor and remember Amelia's remarkable life. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Adams Celebration of Life located in Iowa Falls.

Amelia Ann Stern, or Mimi as she was affectionately known, will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by her family and friends. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
