Dennis Petersen Obituary
He graduated from Cedar Falls High School where he developed his love for cars and mechanics, a hobby he would carry throughout his life. He married Jeannie Fisher in 1971. This union blessed him with two children, Kristi (Scott) Cooley and Ben (Shelley) Petersen both of Waterloo.
Dennis loved his family and worked hard throughout his life as a machinist to provide working notably for Viking Pump, John Deere, Boeing, and Ball before retiring in Denver, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Charles and Everett 'Skip'. He is survived by his children and five grandchildren, Logan Marty-Burnette, Gus Marty, Tjaden Petersen, and Nohle and Sophia Cooley.
He went to be with his Heavenly Father in peace Tuesday December 2nd, 2025.
A celebration of life will be held in the future to honor him.

So sorry for your loss, you have our deepest sympathys. We lived across the street from them 2nd. And Franklin. Dennis, was 1 yr younger than me. We played alot in Overman Park alot. Rip Dennis. His journey is over and now has gone HOME, to be with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!! In Jesus name, Amen!
