George Lindaman

1942 - 2025

George Lindaman, 83, of Wellsburg, Iowa passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at United Reformed Church in Wellsburg. Inurnment will follow the service at Shiloh Cemetery in Wellsburg. A luncheon will follow burial at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the church. Anderson Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the arrangements. George was born August 17, 1942, in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Jakie and Evelyn (Potter) Lindaman. After high school he attended Drake University, graduating with a business degree. He worked for the Piggly Wiggly grocery store for several years before attending the University of Northern Iowa to obtain his teaching certificate. He moved to Vinton, Iowa where he taught business classes and driver's education. Eventually George moved back to Wellsburg and worked for Bacon Veneer until retirement.

George was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer his entire life. He spent numerous years traveling to Minnesota and Canada on fishing trips. He went to Canada every year until he was no longer able. He was also a member of the United Reformed Church in Wellsburg.

George is survived by his brother, Dick (Crystal) Lindaman of Smithfield, Va.; one niece, Amy (Chris) Hardie; two nephews, Jason Lindaman and Isaac Krueger; two great-nieces, Abigail (Adrian) Barbour and Alysse Hardie, and one great-nephew, Jacob Krueger. He was preceded in death by his parents.
