James Siefken Obituary

James Siefken

August 10, 1968 - February 22, 2026

BRANDON - James Siefken, 57, of Brandon, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Unity Point – St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

James was born on August 10, 1968, in Grundy Center, Iowa, the son of Paul J. and Carol E. (Geiken) Siefken. He spent his early years growing up in Wellsburg, Iowa, and later moved to Marshalltown, Iowa, where he attended high school, graduating in 1987. While still in high school, James proudly joined the National Guard.

Shortly after graduation, James began what would become a lifelong career as a semi-truck driver. For more than 40 years, he traveled highways across the nation, logging countless miles and forming friendships along the way.

James is survived by his mother, Carol Blackburn of Brandon, Iowa; his brother, Gary (Linda) Siefken of Shellsburg, Iowa; and several nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Siefken.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Reiff Family Center – Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
