Marcella C. "Sally" (Weis) Bandfield

Marcella C. "Sally" Weis Bandfield, 97, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at home in Auburn, IN. She was born in Afton, IA, March 21, 1926 to Leo and Helen (Waske) Weis whom both preceded her in death.
She married Richard L. Bandfield in 1947 following her graduation from Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA as a nurse. They were married for 51 years, living in Cedar Falls and Cedar Rapids, IA, retiring to Deming, NM before he preceded her in death.
Surviving are her six children and their spouses: Michael Bandfield, spouse, Jean of Klamath Falls, OR, Christopher Bandfield, spouse, Roberta of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Peter Bandfield, spouse, Miriam of Marion, IA, Franklin Bandfield of Cedar Rapids, IA, Mary Bigelow, spouse, Brian of Auburn, IN, and Leonard Bandfield, spouse, Sandy of Cedar Rapids, IA; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, Maurice Weis, spouse, Lorraine Weis of Mesa, AZ. Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Bandfield, father, Leo Weis, mother, Helen (Waske) Weis, brothers: George Weis and Robert Weis, and a grandson, Joshua L. Bandfield.
A celebration of Marcella's life will take place in Ft. Bayard National Cemetery, New Mexico at a later date.
Memorials can be made as a donation in Marcella's memory to Parkview Home Health & Hospice, 1900 Carew St., Suite 6, Fort Wayne, IN 46825 or to the Congregation of the Humility of Mary, 820 West Central Park Avenue, Davenport, IA 52804-1900.
